Does running hard on a treadmill for 15 minutes burn more fat than walking briskly for 1/2 hour?

Kinda new at this…Is it the harder you work out for a short amount of time, or a med. paced routine for a longer amt. of time that burns the most calories(fat)?

You will burn just about the same amount of calories. You will burn a lot more fat if you walk for a longer period, rather than run briskly for a short time. This is because there are different heart training zones. The low impact, long duration zone will always burn more fat. The higher you get your heart rate going, the more you change from burning straight fat into just burning the available carbs you’ve just eaten. Running increases endurance, walking burns fat more efficiently.

The best way to lose fat weight is to lift weights. The next best way is to walk at least 45 minutes in the low heart training zone.
